Terms of Service

Last updated: August 24, 2026

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Subo. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Subo.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Subo, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you may use Subo only with a parent or guardian's consent.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, comments, and other content you post. You grant Subo a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate the app and show it to the people you choose to share with. You are responsible for the content you post and must have the right to post it.

Our intellectual property

Subo — including the app, its software, design, name, logo, and other brand features — belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the app except to the extent the law permits. This license ends when you stop using Subo.

Acceptable use — zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' rights, and you may not impersonate, harass, or abuse other users. Our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms, describe what is and isn't allowed in detail.

You can report content and block users from inside the app. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we aim to act on reports promptly (typically within 24 hours).

Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual-property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content on Subo infringes your copyright, email jkwak525@gmail.com with: your contact information; identification of the work you claim is infringed; identification of the infringing content and where it appears in the app; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

Subscriptions (Subo Pro)

Subo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. Your subscription renews automatically for the same term and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. The price and term are shown at the time of purchase.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Subo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The proof check is performed by an automated AI system (Anthropic's Claude) and may be wrong — it can pass a photo that should fail or reject one that should pass. Its outputs, including any text it returns, may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading; you should not rely on them as a statement of fact or as professional, medical, financial, or other advice, and you should independently verify anything that matters. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Subo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and Subo submit to the state and federal courts located in California for any dispute. This does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country or state where you live.

Apple App Store

If you obtained Subo from the Apple App Store, Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Your license to use the app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"); these Terms add service-specific rules on top of it, and if they ever conflict on licensing, the Standard EULA controls. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

General provisions

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Subo about the app and replace any prior understanding. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor, for example in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply after your account ends.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the changes. Questions: jkwak525@gmail.com.
